EVERY MINUTE COUNTS… LISA IS FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE AFTER THE TERRIBLE CRASH
Lisa is not just another stray cat hit by a car, she effectively is one of our MOST DIFFICULT rescues. This is an EXTREME case medically and we are fighting against time to save her.
Her chin is DISFIGURED in the accident. Her agonized screams and meowing stands testimony to the EXTREME PAIN she is in. Her jaw drooped and she is uncontrollably salivating. And worst, her pupils — blood-red; looking blank and confused — indicates she is TERRIBLY DISORIENTED.
Lisa was horribly injured when she was hit by a speeding car alongside a busy road. Although the driver didn’t run and drove her right to the shelter, Lisa is now in horrible condition. Most importantly, she is running out of time FAST.
She also has an abnormal posture when sitting; she can’t walk straight or perform regular movements. She was bleeding out of her ears and her skin had turned blue, a dangerous indication that oxygen in her blood has fallen to very low limits; all symptoms of injury to her brain.
We immediately took her to our vet, who confirmed our suspicions about her overall situation. She suffers from brain trauma.
Our doctor has also provided painkillers. In order to fend off any seizure due to brain trauma, we have started her on diazepam and also administered drugs to prevent brain swelling. Her condition remains critical but once she stabilizes, we will have to sedate her to see if there are any fractures on her skull that place pressure on the brain. She can not go in the X-Ray machine at the moment as it would be a very high risk to her condition.
This is a race AGAINST TIME. If her brain receives any more damage, her suffering might become permanent This is why we need to act quickly. We cannot waste A SECOND according to our doctors.
We RELY on your help to Lisa NOW. She is in very critical condition but she is in good hands. All she needs now is YOUR support. Please donate now without wasting a second to support her in her struggle for life!
