SAVE EMMA : HIT ON THE STREET , LEFT PARALYZED WITH A BROKEN BACK
She is crawling on the naked basement with lights of hope in her eyes. She tries to get up , tries to find her balance , fails at it , falls again. Tries again… Little Emma has been fighting to be able to walk again since someone hit her back and left her paralyzed.
Her fate is not that different from millions of stray dogs of the country yet still tragic : born in the street , Emma lived from whatever she could find from the garbage dumps , from whatever kind hearted people fed her. She grew fond of people who , perhaps did not take her home with them but fed her in the streets and socialized. Such is her nature ; extremely trusting , incredibly social…
She harmed no one and looked after everyone that crossed her street , in her instinct to protect her friends.
Emma was the last creature on Earth to deserve such punishment.
Yet the absolute ignorance and cruelty in which the humankind resides , found little Emma soon… Little Emma has been fighting to be able to walk again since someone hit her back and left her paralyzed.
We don’t know what little Emma could have committed to deserve such cruelty. Yet we know the physical impact created such a big trauma for her spine that , Emma’s ability to stand up , to walk and to urinate at will got impacted…
She was admitted to a small clinic in her area but their means and technology were not enough for her to provide a complete recovery. We transferred Emma to a more competent hospital to assess her condition fully.
Emma has a broken vertebrae and a hernia , the physical trauma injured her in such a way that she is not able to urinate at will. There are terrible sores on both sides of her hip bones , it is painful to even look at it.
Good news is that Emma can walk again if operated , the operation will be performed on her spine , relieving the tension of the spine , then the fracture will be fixed.
It has been a while since the incident happened so every moment we lose is diminishing Emma’s chances to make a complete recovery as the nerve fibers will gradually die. We can not do this alone.
Please let us not lose another second , contribute so Emma can gain her mobility again.
